Mike Rogers on El-Sayed: "I Know a Con Man When I See One”
Republican Michigan Senate candidate Mike Rogers spoke against his Democratic rival Abdul El-Sayed at a rally Monday with Vice President Vance:
MIKE ROGERS: I busted swindlers and the mob, drug dealers, murderers, human traffickers, terrorists, and I have to tell you this: I know a con man when I see one. Con man Abdul can’t answer the question about gender transition surgeries for children because he supports it. Con man Abdul can’t answer a question about letting violent criminals and sex offenders out of our prisons because he believes [unclear]. He can’t condemn his running mate, Hasan Piker, because they’re in total lockstep. And now he’s degraded the second lady of the United States of America. So I say this: We have a lot of Indian friends here, Indian American friends here. Yeah, yeah. Ashuk is here. Ashuk is in the house. Thank you, sir, for being here. To the Indian American community across Michigan, I’m sorry that we have a candidate running for the Senate who doesn’t have the decency to treat you with the respect you deserve. Thank you for that. You have a home here in the Republican Party. We’ll treat you with the respect that you deserve. Usha Vance is a smart, elegant, poised, and a great role model for young people around the country. I think Abdul would do well to take some pointers from our great second lady. And think of this: All of this from the guy who believes football and Ford trucks are racist. He thinks his home of Egypt is beautiful, but our great Mackinac Island, he hates it. And we need to say this to each other and say it as loud as we can: Abdul, this is not about how you pray. This is not about your name. It is about the ideas that you have for big socialist government for our state and our country.
