Sarah Matthews: Newsom Giving Deference To Kamala Harris Shows He’s Not Presidential Material
Sarah Matthews, the former White House deputy press secretary in President Trump’s first administration, reacts to Gov. Gavin Newsom telling CNN’s Jake Tapper that he would not run for president if former Vice President Kamala Harris decides to run. “I’ll say to real quick, if you believe in deference or you believe in waiting for someone else’s turn, then you’re not right for the job. So I don’t think that Gavin Newsom has what it takes if he’s going to say something like that,” Matthews said on CNN’s ‘Newsnight with Abby Phillip.’
