Sen. Rick Scott: The American Public Should Stop Buying Chinese Products, “They Want To Kill Us”
Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) was a guest on David Webb’s SiriusXM show, where he warned the American public that they could have “an overnight impact” on China’s ability to defeat us if Americans simply stop buying items from Amazon and other places that sell Chinese goods.
DAVID WEBB, HOST: In the public eye, we’ve not seen much on the follow-on or the post-state visit. As far as policy and action, when it comes to China, are we at a stall point now? Is there progress on dealing with China? SEN. RICK SCOTT: Well, first off, I appreciate what this president does. He’s willing to show up. He’s willing to have conversations. He’s trying to constantly put America in a better place – stopping the drug boats, stopping the fentanyl, fighting back with tariffs, things like that. But really our weakness in dealing with China is the American public. The American public could have an overnight impact on China’s ability to continue to build weaponry to defeat us and our allies – and that’s to stop buying anything Chinese. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Take Amazon now. Almost all the products on Amazon are all Chinese. It’s not an American marketplace – it’s a Chinese marketplace. Stop buying their stuff. Stop buying anything from China. If you do, they won’t have the resources to do what they’re doing. We’re withholding resources in Iran. We’re not doing business with Russia. Why are we doing business with China? They’re trying to kill our kids with fentanyl. They’re stealing our jobs. They’re threatening our allies like the Philippines and Taiwan. They help Russia. Stop buying their – what I don’t get – the American public should stop buying their stuff. They want to kill us. They have decided to be our enemy. We’d love for them not to be our enemy. They have decided. They chose that. Stop buying anything from our enemies. We’re not buying from Russia or Iran. Don’t buy from China.
