Sen. Tim Scott: “Radical and Weird” Democrats Will Impeach Trump, His Cabinet, And Even Judges

Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) discusses the importance of midterm elections, President Donald Trump’s comments about the upcoming races, and more in an interview on FOX News Channel’s “My View with Lara Trump.”

LARA TRUMP, FOX NEWS HOST: My next guest is at the forefront of that effort, NRSC chairman, Senator Tim Scott. Senator, welcome to the show. Very excited to have you on. But look, we know November is coming. It is approaching quickly. What would you say is going well for Republican candidates? And is there anything that you would like to see that you haven’t yet? SEN. TIM SCOTT (R-SC): Well, there’s no doubt that what you just played was the most important thing that makes me smile. President Trump saying he’s on the ballot. That’s great news, Laura. I will say without any question, President Trump has a one keen ability to bring out Republicans, Democrats and independents who believe in America. We need candidates who follow President Trump’s lead. And that’s great news. Listen, the things that we have been able to accomplish in the first two years is remarkable, breathtaking. President Joe Biden said there was no way for us to close the border. 20 million people coming into our country illegally. President Trump on day one says, I’ll get the job done. Where are we two years later? That border is closed. Every single Democrat voted to raise taxes on single mothers, on waitresses working, police officers working overtime and our senior citizens. President Trump said, no way, that’s not right. So we lowered taxes by $ 5 trillion because President Trump cares about working class Americans. And I love it. The more we talk about what we’ve done right, the better off we are. TRUMP: Well, and it’s so important that people take to heart what you heard the president say at the top of this, which was vote like I’m on the ballot, right? Because we know that if we want to see this president continue for the next two years to implement his agenda, Senator, people are going to have to vote for these Republican nominees. But President Trump himself is important. How big a deal do you think it is to have him out there campaigning to turn out the vote? Because that really is what this is going to come down to. SCOTT: Well, Laura, we’re facing the most dangerous, radical and weird group of Democrats the country has ever seen. So having President Trump on the campaign trail, not just music to my ears, but it motivates our base to turn out for President Trump and his agenda. The contrast to that is every single day, Democrats will find a way to impeach President Trump, his cabinet, and frankly, even judges. They want to pack the Supreme Court. The one way to stop that from happening is to make sure that we defend the majority that we currently have. Every person watching your show can go to defendthemajority.com and chip in to help us keep this majority. It is the only way we finish the legacy agenda of President Trump that has literally saved this nation from socialism. If you believe in keeping America a free market capitalist society, keeping fairness and the American dream alive and well, you’ve got to vote for President Trump and his agenda, which means supporting Republicans in the House as well as in the Senate.
