Former DNC Vice Chair David Hogg reacts to veteran Democratic strategist James Carville saying he won’t stop him from running the Democratic Party. In the past, Carville has called Hogg “a contemptible little twerp,” and Hogg has said that Carville hasn’t won an election since before he was born.

JAMES CARVILLE: Maybe it could be somewhat relevant. I have no idea. If David Hogg wants to take it over, I ain’t stopping you. Go ahead, man. I don’t really care. LAURA COATES, CNN ANCHOR: You want the job? DAVID HOGG: Well, let me tell you this much. The fact that James Carville, who just less than a year ago, was calling me a, quote, twerp for going out there and challenging asleep at the wheel geriatric Democrats that are literally passing away in power and potentially costing us a future majority. He went from that to saying that I should be running that as a testament to where we are. James Carville and I agree on very little, including me being chair of the DNC. I don’t think that I should be. But what I do know is that there is any number of people that could do a significantly better job than Ken Martin that would help to raise money for the institution and also wouldn’t throw their phone at staff. Like who? I mean, there’s any number of them that are out there that I would leave up to the DNC members to decide because clearly they’re not very interested in what I think. Because I went into that institution to try to change it and say, we need to bring in some fresh blood. You saw what happened with me. I tried to fix it on the inside. It was very clear that that was not welcomed.
